MS FrontPage Security Violation

I have used FrontPage for 6 years and have never run into this problem until a couple of days ago.

When publishing a web site to a web host I have always been able to use the complete web address http://www.mydomain.com and then the box would come of asking for the user/pw info.

Well, I just recently ran into a problem with a NEW host I'm with and with a customers site not related to my host. When I try to publish using the URL path I get an ERROR saying "FrontPage Security Violation".

The host supports FrontPage and I'm told FP Extensions are installed but I cannot publish using http://wwww

I have to use ftp://ftp.mydomain.com/public_html

Can anyone shed some light on this and what settings can be done so I can publish using http://www...... NOT ftp://ftp://.............

Is this on my end or the servers end? Is this a windows thing or a different program problem like Unix, Linux or server permissions setting ?????????????
