Accessing POP mail accounts - error
I have a client who is having problems accessing their mail through mail programs such as Eudora and Outlook Express with each they get a "Bad Login" or "Password Rejected" error but it's not the obvious because it doesn't matter which account he trys to log into he gets the same.
The thing is no other client has ever reported problems using programs like outlook and i know many use it, and even i am able to log into his account on his domain so that would suggest a local (PC) problem.
But, he has several other domains hosted elsewhere and none of them give any errors, it's only the domain he has with us, so i'm totally lost
Has anybody ever experienced this before?
** Update - i took a wild guess (after 90 minutes on AIM
) and asked him to try using the server name rather than mail.hisdomain.com and it worked, so he's happy for now at least.So any idea why he gets those errors with his domain when it works for other people.
Now i think i need a coffee and ciggarette after that hour and a half convo trying to resolve that one
