Setting up server at home
I've got a computer sitting at home doing nothing. It's a P3 800MHZ 20GB Hardrive, 256 RAM. Running XP. I also have an adsl connection.
It's connected to my network through which my internet is shared. Does anyone know of any online tutorial or anything which will explain how I can make that comp a web server so I can serve pages off it.
I understand there will be a problem with dynamic DNS but I will probably upgrade my adsl account and get a static IP address if I can work out how to setup the server.
I tried to set it up on IIS and it worked and I could access the site from other comps on my network via an ip addres, but how do I make it so it is visible on the net.
