Offering Custom NameServers
So I'm setting up my server, I already registered the "anonymous" main domain and its NameServers with the 2 Ips a receibed at the server signup(I have 3 additonal IPs) and waiting for its propagation in order to change the main domain's DNS with its NS.
So far, I guess a just give those name servers to my resellers so they can register their domains.
But, What will it need to be done in order to my resellers have their own NameServers..?
I have read WHM threads and it seems they would need their own IPs... mmmh,.. I only have 3 extras.
Is it possible to my resellers have their NS without costing me extra..?
How about..
- My reseller signs up with me and specifies that he would like customs NS(ns1.myreseller.com and ns2.myreseller.com).
- So I create the account, give reseller privileges, setup in his DNS zone(don't know exatly where yet) his resquested NSs with my same Anonymous's NS IPs.
- Give him the welcome e-mail stating him the instructions to go with his resgistrar and add the 2 NS with the same 2 IPs I'm using for my anonymous NS.
Is this correct..?
Supossing is correct and SECURE, and then 4 months later my reseller ask for SSL setup, would it be possible to get that extra IP and assign it to the account in question without to much trouble..?
