Change shared IP account to unique IP

Okay, I know what my webhost upline is going to say, delete the account and create it again with a unique IP.

Easier said than done, this account has multiple MySQL databases, scripts, etc. already installed, and it would be an ABSOLUTE pain to have to back it all up, delete it, create a new account, reinstall everything, and reconfigure everything. This is a HUGE site.

The client just obtained an SSL certificate and want to begin using it but they are sharing an IP with several other clients.

What would I need to ask/tell my webhost to do to reconfigure this account to have a unique IP? How difficult would it be for the server admins to do it?
