Redirect To Outside Site

Hello all,

I have a domain XYZ.com that is on my server. I want this site to completely redirect to an outside domain name everytime. Basically when someone goes to XYZ.COM it opens whatever.com every time.

I haven't done this in ages, and I have fried a few brain cells since then. I seem to remember something with the .HTACCESS file - or am I incorrect?
