can not extract content of tar ball using file manager

when you click on a ZIP or TAR file in file manager (cPanel), you will be given choices... one of which to "extract contents"... when I click it I receive a new window that states "at least v2.0 to extract file"

???????
I just updated cPanel to its latest version v8.4.0, what is this message refering to and how can I fix it?
