win2003 WeB Edition """Help Please"""
Hi ! I dont know much about the Web Edition of the new win2003 server .I have a gameserver solution which runs on standard / normal win2000 or NT I guess its done in VC++ . It uses multiples ports and sockets to let clients connect over the internet .
I have two main questions :-
1. Does the Win2003 server Web Edition supports to run win32 applications which can open ports and sockets and let clients connect to use communicate
2. Does the Win2003 server "Web Edition" supports ODBC to connect to a shared MsSql server ( running on standard win2k ) and execute queries and procedures .
I want to know that is there a major difference between the Webedition and Standard Editions . Or is it just same as Standard but with less admistrations features or is it with different architecture and OS etc ..
I will really appericate all the help if some one can let me know about my concerns ..
Regards
