bandwith regulation
I hope this is the appropriate forum. I am about to begin to offer co location services, I have my rack and my connectivity but I wonder how do you do to be able to allow a certain level of bandwith to one of the servers.
Eg : how do you do to allow one of the servers from the rack to use 1 mbit and one othe 5 mbits ?
I thought it was possible with high end switches but it seems that the cisco 2950/2914 and many others only allow to set 10 or 100 mbps.
Then I tought to use qos with linux but it makes the qos server a weak point in my installation, if ever it goes down, everybody gets stuck.
Do you have a solution ?
