For DNS settings experts

Hi there,

I wasn't sure on which forum to post this, but I think I will find here someone to tell me how to troubleshoot this issue:

I've got a couple of reseller accounts on different servers and different Data Centers... and none of the hosting companies I'm using have given to me a good explanation on what is happening with this:

Case 1:

First Reseller Account using:

ns1.resellerdomain.com
ns2.resellerdomain.com
Data Center ONE (main reseller account is hosted here)

Second Reseller Account using:

ns3.resellerdomain.com
ns4.resellerdomain.com
Data Center TWO

Whenever I tried to send a message from any domain using ns1 & ns2 to any domain using ns3 & ns4, it got lost. However, when sending messages from any domain using ns3 & ns4 to any domain using ns1 & ns2, there were no problems at all.

Case 2:

First Reseller Account using:

ns1.resellerdomain.com
ns2.resellerdomain.com
Data Center TWO (main reseller account is hosted here)

Second Reseller Account using:

ns5.resellerdomain.com
ns6.resellerdomain.com
ns7.resellerdomain.com
Data Center THREE

Whenever I tried to send a message from any domain using ns5, ns6 & ns7 to the main domain account only (i.e. resellerdomain.com using ns1 & ns2) it got lost. However, I could send messages from any domain using ns1 & ns2 to any domain using ns5, ns6 & ns7.resellerdomain.com.

Is it a bit strange or is it just bad DNS configuration?

Thanks!

Eboy
