I want to give temperary write permission to a php script in a directory. This write permission is needed to convert my old forum (tForum) to a newer version (phpBB). The only problem is that giving this permission in cPanel with the file manager does not seem to work. When I changed the permission and I go back to the page where you can change the permission I see the default settings again. Also the convert script does not seem to work and keeps giving me an error that he does not have permission to write.
