I ordered a dedicated server from ServerMatrix with FreeBSD and have had nothing but problems with cPanel - errors, configuration changes have no effect, etc. SM support says there are issues with cPanel and FreeBSD (wish I had known that ahead of time - why do they offer it then?).
I chose FreeBSD since I was familar with it in my current shared hosting plan. Plus what I've read is that FreeBSD is more stable.
Would I be better off to change over to RedHat 9.0 since I will be using cPanel? Has anyone else had these sort of problems with cPanel/FreeBSD/ServerMatrix?
