Homebrew dual AMD 1U servers
I have just assembled the following:
Tyan 2466 MPX
2 gig DDR
Dual AMD 2400
in a tiny 1U server!
I have spent some time carefully selecting a case with proper airflow engineering, and via a few modifications of my own, I have a system that runs at idle:
CPU1: 31C
CPU2: 34C
I will be posting tests under full load shortly. My plan is to loop something like this:

do
make -j 16 dep && make -j 16 bzImage
done
I will launch about 5 of those, which launch 16 instances of make each. Should be a decent quick stress test. I will post temps immediately after that!
For the curious, these only end up costing me about $50 more than the same in a 2U case
