Is there such a product? I have a few misison-critical servers that I would like to have direct hands-on access to, and the next best thing would be a kvm switch that I can access over ethernet. This way I can do anything I could if I was physically there, except for opening up the box (and putting in CDs, but that's not a big thing).
Basically I just want something that hooks into the server's vga, keyboard, and mouse port. Shouldn't have to have any special software server-side. I saw some kvm switches that needed server software installed...but what if the server doesn't even boot into the OS? What if I need to make bios changes? Might as well use VNC if it requires server software.
