Incoming email error 0x800ccc19
I have a small biz web site and virtual email hosted by Add Action. Sometime on Sunday afternoon / evening, attempts to retrieve email with Outlook on a couple of accounts (not all) would time out, as do attempts to access their web-based email interface.I have done some pretty extensive Google research and review of the Microsoft knowledge base, and could not find an appropriate solution. The following item seems to make the most sense
"...You may have a corrupt or a very large file attachment on the mailserver. Large file attachments, mail that are missing headers, or mail that do not conform to the mail RFC's can cause this..."
but I am unable to access the web-based interface to try and get rid of the obstruction. My feeling is reinforced by the fact that the 2 email addresses that time out are found on my web site, and typically receive lots of the same spam, at about the same time.
I seem to be able to access all web and email folders through cPanel (version 8.5.3-STABLE, Build 3), but do not know how to access the folder where the offending email(s) may be. One idea is to delete the accounts, then add them again, but this would delete one or more important messages that may be stuck with the offending one(s).
For now, I am able to receive new messages by using a forwarder. As I am able to receive the forwarded messages, Add Action customer support keeps telling me that the issue is resolved - despite the fact that the forwarder is responsible for this.
Any suggestions?
