Hello, Linux Newbie here. Ok Ive decided to jump on the Linux bandwagon and go with apache. I want to do away with IIS but im having a little trouble. First of all, Im installing apache from the tar.gz file i downloaded. Using Mandrake 9.1 also. First thing i encountered is that the httpd is going into /usr/local/bin which i believe it should go to /usr/local/sbin. Second thing im getting the no listening sockets availiable, shutting down unable to open logs.
Linux Newbie here and i have no idea which way to go from here. Any help is really appreciative.
