Who to Report Customers to?
I have been monitoring an account for some time, it has just been "Under Construction" for nearly the whole month, no big deal, however the used 5 Gb of bandwidth with a text only into page, no other files in the HTML root. So at first I figured, just doing some heft emails or maybe they uploaded stuff and removed, still seemed fishy, but I let it slide. Well, the usage continued so I checking into further, low and behold they have 2 Warez contact distribution lists, for what appear to be mostly DVD's and such.
So, I just issues them a provided legal reasoning, or remove it in 48 hours or lose the account. Comply the save the account but it is monitored and any more activity like that get the account suspended and charged a $150.00 illegal use fee. Fail to comply, the they are removed with no chance of refund.
However, this just seem like enough. Who would I contact about this, should it develope into a major issue, or even just to make sure this customer never wants to do it again.
I thought about the FBI, but that would be a waist of time, as this was just a listing, not even the physical files. So I was looking for more along the lines a internet security firm that would take the information I can provide and maybe keep on eye on the user outside of my servers.
