proftp stucked process

hi


i am using cpanel latest stable version on a redhat 8 box ..


i have a problem since over 2 monthes agoo..


some times when users go to ther ftp and send the command LIST the proftpd stuck this process and this take alot of cpu time and of course bring up the load to a very high some times to 11 ..


see this ps its taking over 50 of cpu

when i trying to kill this process

restarting ftp will not kill them and the kill command also

kill -9 is the only solution to kill them



any one have a solution...
