FTP Issue... I am lost

I am redesigning a website for a client of mine and his website is referencing a couple of pages that I can't seem to find via ftp...

The url is domain.com/common/blah

When I log into ftp, I goto httpdocs and then there is no common folder...

Anyone seen this before?
