Firewall Pro/Con listing
Was wondering if you guys could help me out on a pro/con list I've been working on. I've been trying to decide if a FreeBSD/Linux dedicated router/firewall or a cisco/sonicwall/watchguard/etc... solution would be best.
We are still a fairly small provider yet, but still want to prepair for the future.
Obviously I have things such as cost (implimentation, upgrade, replace), scaleability, performance, and customization already down. However, I could use some input things that watchguard/cisco/sonicwall/etc.. can provide but a FreeBSD/Linux solution couldnt.
Does anyone think it seems tacky for a service provider to use a FreeBSD or Linux fireall?
Any thoughts?
