A good backup
As some of you may remember, I am in the process of setting up a hosting company etc etc etc.
Now most of the decisions have been made etc.
However being a good sysadmin I realise that backups are #1 importance. Hardware is easily replaced. Data isnt.
So I am going with SM I think as overall everything seems good. Its just the cost of backup from them is atronomical (in my eyes) @ $60 for the disk to be fully backed up. The data transfer also comes off your allowance (kinda grates if you have already paid for a backup solution)
Anyone got a better deal from SM/Any better Ideas.
Lastly, is it me or is the fact that they are backing up to a SAN rather than tape a bit dodgy ? I also feel worried as I have no tape in my hand should SM go tits up

Also forgot to mention, it seems that if you want to have a good backup strategy i.e. A full weekly with daily differentials, it costs even more
