Security issue regarding a reseller...
We have a potential Reseller client who is asking us about security. He was with another company and he had security problems. This is what he told us:"
I upload using SSH for security. Each time, they were able to find a "hole" somewhere and install a rootkit which gave them control over the server to launch denial of service or send spam (not sure which). I know there are frequent updates to security holes in PHP, as well as operating systems. I am concerned that the security patches are installed with regularity. "
We're using WHM/Cpanel... Would we have these kind of problems if we take this client? I mean, would hackers be able to do what he described above?
