Help with some routing issues

I have a dedicated server at the planet and a VPS from jvds. The problem is that I cannot reach my VPS from my dedicated server- if I ping, I get a time-out. I can ping the server just fine from my home which is in the Middle East.

I tried contacting The Planet and since the ping is going outside their network they're saying that they wont be able to help. Can anyone please tell me who can I contact?
