[HELP!] How to transfer a forum across servers?
I am getting a new server, can anyone please tell me what is the easiest way to transfer the current forum data including script and SQL databse to the new server?
If it's done by SSH, can you please write down all the steps... including the commands.. I am really bad with those SSH thing..
Also, as a side question, I am running a not so busy forum on a 1.7Celeron, 1G ram dedicated server. At peak time, around 300 users, my server load went crazy and the apache server starts to restart itself. Does that mean the server is not capable of handling forum in this size?
What server do you guys recommend for such forum?
