FreeBSD or Red Hat?
I do not have ANY experience with either of these operating systems, but I am willing to learn. (NOTE: only personal, non-mission critical sites will be placed on my server) I have heard something about Red Hat and it phasing out some of its products or not supporting them anymore. Does this mean that it would be wise to start with FreeBSD instead since it is still supported and it is free?
Also, which operating system offers the best performance on servers?
