Ok my RH 7.3 up to 9.0 boxes do this - Im in SSH and do 'ls' and the listing shows dir's in blue, and executeables in green etc. My gentoo box doesnt do this unless you specify it as a command line option when you type 'ls' as in 'ls --color' how can i make it always run with that option?
