Single Port VLAN Routing, Possible ?
I am in the process of upgrading my web hosting network, in the process I will be setting up VLAN's...http://www.zoolnet.co.uk/~richard/Ha.../VLANSetup.jpg
What I have, is 3x Extreme Networks Summit 24's, each with 24x 10/100 ports..... connected via Gigabit to a D-Link DGS-3204 (Layer 2, 4port Switch), which is inturn uplinked (via the one remaining port) to the 3Com CoreBuilder 3500....
What I want to do is have each Summit 24 on a seperate VLAN and use the CoreBuilde to route between these VLAN's....
I have an IP block of 255x IP's, so I will only be using one "Public" Subnet.... I assume that wont cause a problem ?
I have been reading the 3Com manuals, but I am unsure if what I want to do is even possible with one port ? The 3Com CoreBuilder is Layer 3 Routing..... with standard IP routing protocols enabled etc...
Thanx !
