mod_ssl and IE for Win problems
A previous post in this forum "mod_ssl bug with unique httpd.conf" (portion of the posting included below) dated 9-03-2001 discusses a problem that might be affecting the users of my company's website. We're hosted on a Linux server (Apache, OpenSSL, PHP, MySQL) and apparently users of Internet Explorer (some on Windows XP) will put products in our shopping cart, login to our secure area, and then not be able to complete orders; they recieve "page not displayed" errors i.e our pages never get returned to the client.
We've been able to duplicate this error only on Windows XP using the latest version of Internet Explorer. I'm on OS X (using Mozilla, Safari) and have not encountered this problem.
Is the issue discussed in the posting mentioned above still a problem with the latest versions of IE? If yes, is the fix still the same?
Thanks.
"This is a pretty specific problem, but I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to apply the fix to the mod_ssl handshake bug with Internet Explorer, which is starting to drive our customers batty."
