typical FTP problem .PLS HELP me

Hi
I have hosted a website which i want to access using FTP .I have uname and pwd but my probvlem is while i can open the Ftp access it is not showing me either of the 4 folders that is Special,Log ,www.Where are the folders gone???
Is that right lies with my Service provider.PLs help me.
