*nix Server
First let me say that Im only 15, but bear with me. I would one day like to run/operate a webhosting business, but Im the first to admit that while normally I could probably support my clients well enough, I certainly wouldnt want someone relying on me for their business.
I currently have a reseller account with the control panel I would one day like to use (H-Sphere) and I am currently hosting my friends so I can learn about that control panel and work out any unexpected problems.
Next up I would like to work on the server administration aspect. While I would one day like to deal with Windows servers and maybe even become an MCSE, I believe Linux is an integral part of the backbone of the internet and would like to know more about it.
I know very little about linux, and I currently have an older box that runs Windows that I use as a game server which I would like to convert to Linux. What I am looking for mainly is recommendations
What distro of Linux should I run for a web server (Im looking at RH or FreeBSD)
What books should I use to familiarize myself with Linux
What books should I use to aid the process of configuring Apache, qmail, ftp, and other serve services
Keep in Mind that I am a total newbie in this area, but I am willing to put in the effort required over the next few years to really become knowledgeable.
