Moved one nameserver to new host, not working right

I moved my primary DNS server to a new host (left NS2 at the old host). Everything appears to be set up correctly in WHM, but after several days I still get errors at DNSStuff.com for NS1 (NS2 is fine):

DNSReport.com also returns an error for NS1:

[ERROR: The parent servers say that the domain ns1.civilizeddesign.com does not have any NS records (although they may have some other information on that zone). I can not do a DNS report on a hostname (such as mail.example.com) or a domain name that does not have its own zone.]

What would cause the root servers to return a cached answer for NS1?
