mrtg setup and router question

I am about to add a couple of people to my rack and had a few questions about setting MRTG. The first question is what is the best router to purchase between 250-500 that will allow access to the snmp port information? I have been looking at the linksys RV082.

I assume you set mrtg to trace all the information going over a specific port? so that if there are 8 ip addresses going over one port all ips would be traced?

How long should it take for someone with no MRTG knowledge to set this up for say 4-5 servers? On average per new server I add in the future how long should it take?
