I know, its dumb! Need Help!

I have been thinking of offering webbased e-mail for a few months, and every fiber tells me the following.

1. It will be abused


2. It will provide little benefit


3. It will open me up for a blacklisted IP



But yet, here I sit looking for a software package to offer this benefit to our community.

Can anyone steer me away, or steer me to the benefits.
