How to keep windows server stable and responsive

Hi,

As probably many of you have noticed its at times quite difficult to keep windows servers responsive/stable over time due to memory usage and such.

For one, asp applications? should all websites run in seperate memory space? Shared, but a few running their own?
How can one track down which sites uses a lot of resources?

Is there a way to track down hung asp sites and restart them automatically?

How many sites are recommended to run on one windows box?
None really heavy sites, a few running ms access
then a few running mssql on a dedicated mssql server.

Any suggestions and hints/utilities to help keep a windows
server running at peak performance? what should a decent level of bandwidth be?

Fred
