can't install DBD::mysql

I need some help...

I have tried and tried to install DBD::mysql on 2 of my servers and am receiving the same errors...

Code: 
Writing Makefile for DBD::mysql
Makefile:89: *** missing separator.  Stop.
  /usr/bin/make  -- NOT OK
Running make test
  Can't test without successful make
Running make install
  make had returned bad status, install seems impossible
any help would be appreciated!!!
