server replica and dual MX for domains?
i run webbased email software that is based on exim + mysql o here is what i'm thinking todo to have some solution to avoid downtimes incase of anything
1- rsync the whle server except mysql database
2- setup mysql replication feature to replicate from the live server
3- setup MX 0 to live server and MX 10 or higher for server 2
if both servers online would by ANY chance emails would go to server with higher MX ? or it will always check if server1 is down?
the servers will be in the sme NOC with Gigabit NIC with crosscable for faster sync and i might keep it like 1min syncing
would that be the right solution or there is something better in this case?
