How to update Php and Phpadmin?

Hey guys,

There should be a how-to for upgrading PHP and PhpAdmin for cpanel servers without breaking cpanel stuff. Also a bit further into adding more libs like -mcrypt into php would be nice.

So average joes like me stop asking these questions.
