netstat issue

I logged in as root and typed:

/usr/bin/netstat -f inet -b -I em0

That is hanging and it isnt returning quicker enough, it mean it take like 4/5 minutes to complete to return.

I'm not sure why it's hanging, how to fix this?

Update:
oh when I just type: netstat
its hanging as well.
taking really slow to complete the result.
