I will be launching a new site that I expect to have very heavy traffic and will also quickly have database storage needs of a Terabite or so. That kind of setup is way beyond my means, and revenues will trail behind growth 90 days or more. So I need to come up with a game plan that doesn't use expensive load balancers. Right now my thinking is along the lines of seperating different operations with their own servers. As needs arise for more capiticy for a certain operation, a simple round robin switch and additional server(s) could be added. Is this a reasonable solution? As far as the database goes, that Terabite of storage would be split amoung >3,200 seperate databases.
