Dell 2u Vs 1u

Obviously, 1u seems better but is it really?

What i'm wondering is if a 1u server housing dual 2.8Ghz Xeons, 5 U320 15k drives and 2 gig of ram would be stable?

Have they fixed heat issues or is 2u better?
