newbie needs help
in my server logfiles i see strange entries like for example
"/scripts/root.exe?" or "default.ida" etc etc does are all attacking stuff and i want to know how i can ban those fools from my website ?? i have found an example here with iptables but my host does not allow me to use iptables.There must excist some sort of script that does this job ?? i have tryed an asp script that said it could do it but it doesn't work i banned my own ip and still could view my website so .....
do you gurus know of a script that cando this ?? i have asp , jsp(with servlets) , php and perl cgi support database engines MySQL and microsoft access
i dont mind to pay for quality so ... basicly what i would like todo is if a banned address trys to view my website a message is displayed saying the address is banned i know this is possible seen it on other websites but how ?????
