Extra Ram for RedHat Linux

I have an existing Redhat linux machine with 1 gb of ram , swap I put as 2 gb. Added in another 2 gb of ram to make it 3 gb. Prob is I cant change the size of the swap which is recommended at twice the ram size. Will tat cause any prob?
