Windows 2000 Server and DNS
Hi,I know this isnt exactly hosting related but here goes,
I've just reinstalled windows 2000 server on our network as active directory messed up. And i couldnt be bothered to try and fix it. This time I also managed to make exchange server 2003 work.
I set up DNS and made the default zone "razorblue.com" - so it would work with exchange properly. Now I could point each machines DNS straight at my ISP's DNS ... which works .. but it causes problems with networking. It uses netbios to look up the main server and this takes a centuary for each client pc to log on otherwise. So I prefer to have the dns pointed at the main server.
Problem is ... i now cant see anything under razorblue.com. I've done this before but can anyone remember how to tell DNS (this is windows) to look on a different server if the result isnt on this one. (ie the dns servers for my hosting network).
Any ideas in how to tell it to do a lookup at another server if it cant find it here?
Rgds,
Dan
