If you had to choose between a second hard drive or ServerMatrix's Network Area Storage (It is separate server space outside of the server to have your content backed up to.) for back-up storage, which would you choose? I was asking them about a second hard drive for a server of mine for backup but they suggested I use their NAS system instead (which is 20 dollars more a month). I thought since the hard drive is like 60 gigs full then a second drive would be faster for daily or every other day backups.
One of the reasons they gave me to go with their NAS was "The other reason the NAS backup storage would be ideal, it's not located on the server, it's a backup drive space outside the server so it is not effected by the server and can act as a true backup incase of any failures or machine problems."
Anyway, What would you choose? A second hard drive or NAS. I know the safest bet is "both" but thats not a choice here
