wget interface

We are haivng to download a lot of large files, likes of demos and such. Now some companies request a FTP account and upload new material direct to our server, but some just give a URL or ftp.

Currently I go in via shell and download via wget direct to the folder I want it in. Does anyone know of an browser interface that can do this?

IE so we can do server to server transfers without going into shell. I know soe ftp client allow this, but some files are just links and we do not actually have ftp access to that server.
