Help! Mail problems

I have a slight problem that has popped up with email. I am running cPanel 9.4.1-S56 on RedHat 9 and for the past day or so, my mail hasn't been arriving.

When an email is sent to anyone on my server, the message comes back with a 550 Sender verify failed message and the email is rejected.

I try to log into my mailbox from pop3 and it contiunually rejects my password. I have tried restarting the services and the server to no avail.

I have also noticed that the following services fail on startup
- CPSVRD
- EXIM
- EXIM 26
- CPOP

not all fail on startup, sometimes all fail sometimes only one will fail. it hasn't made any difference yet.

if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
