partition on linux internal storage and external ShareStorage
Hi,Finally i got the machines. Cheers..
2 x dell 1750 having a PERC 4DI for internal 2X36GB(RAID-1), and PERC 4DC for external SCSI bus to PowerVault, 4x36GB (RAID-5)
From a fresh installation, firstly i start Powervault, after a few seconds, then i start dell PE1750-1, and PE1750-2, Both PE just hang at the BIOS.
SCSI buses conflict ?Seems like PEs can not boot concurrently. ?
I swith off all the machines, then i only start powerVault and PE1750-1,
YES, PE-1 can gothrough the BIOS, checking the 4DI and 4DC SCSI buses. And i can install the Redhat OS into internal RAID-1, but i not yet formating the share storage on Powervault,
The linux partition for PE-1 is, / 12GB , /home 10GB, /home2 6GB, /var 6GB, SWAP 2GB.
Questions:
1)I still cannot boot the 2 x PE simulataneosly, connected to PowerVault?
2)any recommend howto partition the PE-1(RAID-1), PE-2(RAID-2), powervault 4 x 36GB (RAID-5), to implement linux clustering on it?
This is from PE-1/dmesg:
