Creating a subdomain in cPanel?
I realize cPanel allows for the creation of a subdomain, such as:
subdomain.mysite.com
Just wondering:
1) Do subdomains require their own separate DNS entry? Lets say the root domain's DNS is handled by my web host (ie: ns1.webhost.com). Assuming "yes" to my question, does this mean I'd need to contact our web host to also include the sub domain as part of the DNS set up?
2) Do subdomains generate separate log files from the root domain itself? I guess I'm asking what the distinction is between a subdomain and main domain as far as how the server handles things relating to it.
