What kind of setup do I need
I'm not a majorly technical person, so I need some help with what kind server setup we need for an application that we are developing. Basically we have are developing an information sports portal which will include the following:
1) a portal website - information, news etc
2) free web-based email
3) a free sitebuilder tool for any sports club to have their own website
We are building the above in PHP and mysql. We are unsure of what kind of traffic we are going to get and this depends upon responses from our PR, marketing etc. I have been told that I need to have one server for the portal/website which will be used as the entry server, a server for the email and one for the sitebuilder sites. Would this be about right? also, how would we go about adding extra servers - what issues would we have (eg DNS etc). The issue is all of these will be running from the same domain, including the sitebuilder sites, so are there any issues we need to look at?
Sorry for the vague message! I'm completely out of my depth
