Blocking proxies?
Someone has had the nerve over the last couple of months to be attacking my website every so often by using a program to connect to it with a few thousand proxies a second. This completely ties up my server until it crashes. I have read around that there is a way to detect and block proxies from accessing your website. Does anyone know of a way to do this?
My website is non-profit, but has well over 160,000 members and these attacks are extremely inconvenient, and has even made me ponder closing it down just to get away from these attacks. Hopefully someone knows how to help me out.
